  2. Requesting a Slash Bin

As part of our commitment to community safety and environmental stewardship, we are pleased to introduce the Slash Bin Program. This initiative is designed to support residents in their wildfire mitigation efforts by providing convenient access to large roll-off dumpsters, known as slash bins. These bins are specifically for the disposal of tree trimmings and other vegetation resulting from wildfire mitigation work.

What Can and Cannot Be Placed in a Slash Bin:

To ensure the effectiveness of this program, it's important to follow guidelines on what materials are acceptable. Slash bins are intended for:

    • Wood / trees libs / branches / brush
    • Branches cut into 6 foot lengths or shorter
    •  Logs no larger than 24" in diameter

    Strictly Prohibited Items:

To maintain the integrity and purpose of the Slash Bin Program, it is imperative that only approved materials are placed in the bins. The following items are strictly forbidden and must not be disposed of in the slash bins under any circumstances:

    • Household waste
    • Hazardous materials
    • Treated lumber
    • Fence posts
    • Root balls
    • Construction materials
    • Hazardous Waste
    • Furniture
    • Appliances
    • Any treated or dimensional lumber

Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in penalties or the entire bin being dumped at the site for clean up by the host community. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our community safe and efficient.
